Beyond Just Now is a consultancy helping community leaders to find their rocket fuel and use it to future proof their organisations and themselves.

Beyond Just Now is about a holistic approach to sustainability with community led models of social action, creating strong relationships that lead to transformative change. I work at creating demonstration projects that illustrate that principle and ultimately, truly change people’s lives. If you are doing that then I want to work with you.

I work in the UK, am learning French so I can work with social enterprises and community networks in the EU from my operational base in South West France. I work mostly on line but on occasion, post-Covid-19, I hope to enjoy a pastel de nata in my former haunts in West Green Road, London N15, and new found Caribbean cuisine in Stokes Croft, Bristol.

In my first three years of consultancy, in the UK, I am working in London and Bristol based community organisations and regional networks. I focus only on these 3 areas:

a) sustainability of community hubs - recruiting appropriate skills sets, balancing income generation, with creative approaches, that are environmentally sound alongside organisational effectiveness

b) communicating impact - building recognition of the organisation through networks and ensuring the message reaches the right audiences

c) unlikely leaders - developing skills from within the community and amongst staff to ensure a leadership and managerial pipeline for the organisation at employee and board
